Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Whozee app (published by Mickaël Ohayon). By downloading or using Whozee, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Whozee identifies the actors and titles (movies, TV shows) on screen from an image captured by your camera. Each scan consumes one credit. Credits can be earned for free (rewarded ads) or through a Premium subscription that provides unlimited scans and removes ads.

2. Auto-renewable subscriptions

Whozee offers auto-renewable subscriptions granting unlimited, ad-free scans with sync:

Prices are shown in euros and may vary by country; the exact applicable price is displayed in the app and on the App Store before any purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when purchasing a subscription.

Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA).

3. Free credits and rewarded ads

Free credits may be earned by watching rewarded ads. These credits have no monetary value, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and may be changed or removed at any time.

4. Restoring purchases

Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID account. You can restore them at any time using the "Restore purchases" button in the app.

5. Refunds

Purchases made on the App Store are handled by Apple. Any refund request must be directed to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com, in accordance with Apple's terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Whozee lawfully and not to attempt to circumvent the credit or security mechanisms, nor to use the service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

Whozee, its interface and content are protected. Movie and actor data is provided by The Movie Database (TMDb); Whozee is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. Trademarks referenced belong to their respective owners.

8. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy.

9. Limitation of liability

Whozee is provided "as is". Recognition results are indicative and may contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app.

10. Termination

You may stop using Whozee at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend access in case of a breach of these Terms.

11. Changes

These Terms may be updated; the applicable version is the one published on this page. Material changes will be signaled in the app.
