What sources do you use?
Actor recognition relies on cutting-edge facial recognition technology. Actor profiles and filmographies come from The Movie Database (TMDb), a well-known community database.
Are my images stored?
No. The image captured by your camera is sent encrypted to our server, analysed, then immediately deleted. Only the result (the actor's name) is kept in your personal history — and only if you're signed in.
Does Whozee work on any film or series?
Recognition works for actors publicly known to film databases. Very effective on mainstream Hollywood and French productions, more limited for little-known actors or extras.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Go to Settings → your Apple name → Subscriptions → Whozee → Cancel. Premium access stays active until the end of the current period.
Does it work on Android?
Not yet. The iOS version is live on the App Store. An Android version will follow once iOS is stable.
How do I delete my account?
From the app's Settings screen, tap "Delete my account". All your data (account, history, Premium status) is deleted within 30 days, in line with GDPR.
